Honest about the network
We don't claim to work fully offline. Tifa Window is local‑first: an account (email + password) is required for all users, free included. Authentication happens online at launch, without blocking your work, and only transmits your email, your ID, your licence key, a machine fingerprint and the version number — never your documents.
The app re-checks the connection every 3 days and grants a 3-day offline grace between checks: you can work disconnected, including on a secure or isolated site.
Web search (a Premium feature, on by default, can be disabled) is the only other egress: it sends only your query to fetch fresh public data and cites its sources.
